Arielle Gray is a lens-based artist, from Alabama and a graduate from the Yale School of Art (℅ ‘23). Gray’s work considers facets of Black life in America, while exploring notions of intimacy between lovers, friends, and family. Raised in the Deep South, she is continuously searching for connection, strength and resilience in her subjects. Gray has been a recipient of the Aperture Creator Labs Fund (‘21), a guest writer for the Guggenheim Academic Engagement Group, and has created images for T Magazine, The New York Times, The Atlantic ProPublica, and The New Yorker.
